Uraloğlu: Development Road will connect the Persian Gulf to Europe
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu explained the Development Road project at a conference organized by SETA. The Minister stated that the project will be a new logistics route connecting the Persian Gulf to Europe via Turkey. He drew attention to the fragility of trade dependent on single passages like Suez, the Red Sea, and Hormuz.
What does it mean?
A new route is being planned for goods to reach land and Europe from the sea. According to the minister, blockages in a strait or canal can delay shipments for weeks. Therefore, shorter and more reliable routes are being sought.
