The Competition Authority brought together African competition authorities in Istanbul
The Competition Authority held a meeting in Istanbul on 29-30 September 2026 with the participation of senior representatives of the competition authorities of African countries and regional organizations. At the end of the meeting, the Vice President of the Organization, Dr. Hakan Bilir read the Joint Declaration and the parties reached an agreement on sharing information, joint projects and capacity building.
What does it mean?
The competition authority in Turkey has decided to work together with similar institutions in Africa to ensure fairness in the markets, which means sharing case experience and knowledge between countries, and joint training.
