Masters students present public policy research backed by the Government Actuary's Department
Six Masters students from two universities presented research on health, social care and climate risks, each guided by a GAD expert acting as industry supervisor. The projects examined healthy life expectancy, social care compared with Sweden, and how climate change could affect illness in the UK.
What does it mean?
Students spent time on real government questions, such as how long and how well people live and how a changing climate might affect health. The work was guided by people from the government's actuary team.
Who is affected?
