Legislative proposal to regulate road freight forwarders
The proposal, which was first signed by Hatay MP Nermin Yıldırım Kara, was submitted to the Presidency of the Assembly on 23 October 2026. The proposal was sent to the Bayındırlık, İmir, Transport and Tourism Commission on 27 October 2026 and is currently pending in the commission.
What does it mean?
It is a proposal to protect the profits of single-person carriers carrying cargo by truck or their own vehicle. It calls for the cost of transportation to be determined in a cost-effective and predictable manner, and payments to be made on time.
Who is affected?
Individual road freight carriers and parties receiving freight services.
