Italy's ISPRA joins critical minerals talks at Sydney mining conference
Italy's national geological and environmental institute ISPRA took part in the International Mining and Resources Conference in Sydney from 27 to 29 October 2026. It presented its national mining exploration programme and the URBES project, which looks at recovering critical raw materials from mining waste, quarries and urban and electronic waste. On 27 October, undersecretary Massimo Dell'Utri and Ambassador Nicola Lener opened an Italy–Australia event on critical minerals.
