Over 193 million passengers on airlines in 9 months
Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced, based on data from the State Airports Authority, that a total of 193 million 156 thousand 231 passengers were served across Türkiye in the January-September 2026 period. In September, 25 million 603 thousand 265 passengers were carried, which means an increase of 3,4 percent compared with the same month of the previous year. Istanbul Airport welcomed 64 million 502 thousand 869 passengers in nine months.

About 193 million people flew from airports in Türkiye from the start of this year through the end of September. This number shows that slightly more people traveled by air than last year. The figures are based on official statistics from the state airport operator.
