France creates a state teaching diploma option for aikido and related martial arts
An order dated 5 October 2026 and published on 30 October 2026 creates a new option of the State youth and sport diploma for teaching aikido, aikibudo and related martial arts. Candidates must complete three skill blocks, show at least three hundred hours of coaching over the last five sporting seasons, hold a third dan, and pass a practical coaching test. The order follows an opinion from a professional advisory commission dated 7 April 2026.
