France approves its 2027 programme of household and local-council statistical surveys

France's economy ministry has approved the 2027 programme of official statistical surveys aimed at households and local councils. The order was dated 26 October 2026 and published on 30 October 2026, and was signed for the minister by INSEE's director general, F. Lenglart. It is the official list of which government surveys will run next year, with the full opinions and survey descriptions to be posted on the National Council for Statistical Information website.

What does it mean?

Government statisticians will run a set of surveys in 2027 that ask households and local councils for information. Some of these surveys are compulsory, so people chosen to take part must respond. The full details of each survey are posted online at the CNIS website.

Who is affected?

Households and local councils selected for the 2027 statistical surveys, and the public bodies that run them.
