Advanz Pharma pulls two Mynzepli eye-injection batches over syringe grip fault
Advanz Pharma is withdrawing two batches of Mynzepli, an aflibercept eye injection in pre-filled syringes, as a precaution. A small variation in the finger grip could make the syringe harder to hold and press. The recall sits at pharmacy and wholesaler level, and other batches remain available.
What does it mean?
Two batches of an eye-injection syringe are being pulled from pharmacies and wholesalers because the grip part may be the wrong size. Patients need not act, but clinicians should follow the stop-supply and return steps.
Who is affected?
Pharmacies, wholesalers and healthcare providers holding batches 2325742 or 2325726, and patients receiving eye injections made with them.
