Accord-UK recalls one batch of lercanidipine 10mg tablets after 20mg strips found in a carton

Accord-UK Ltd is recalling batch M2510877 of lercanidipine 10mg tablets after a carton was found to contain a strip of 20mg tablets. The recall is at pharmacy and wholesaler level, and the company says the risk to patients is low. Pharmacies are told to stop supplying the batch and return stock.

What does it mean?

If you take lercanidipine for blood pressure, check your blister strips. If one says 20mg instead of 10mg, do not take it and contact your pharmacy, because a stronger dose can cause dizziness or light-headedness.

Who is affected?

Pharmacies and wholesalers holding batch M2510877, and patients who may have received that batch of lercanidipine 10mg tablets.
